Soda politics
October | 2015
Soda Politics: Taking on Big Soda (and Winning), was published in October 2015 and has since been very influential in public debate about the over-consumption of liquid sugars in the United States and abroad, and the marketing and lobbying influence of the soft drink industry. It was exhaustively reviewed by The Economist, the New York Times Book Review, Nature, and many other publications, and won both a James Beard award and an IACP award. The author, Dr. Marion Nestle, is the Paulette Goddard Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health at New York University, and a tireless consumer health advocate.
